Having the right enemies is as important as having the right friends. It shows you have standards and guts.

I did this little drawing while I was bored over the past couple of hours. I enjoy drawing bubbles… it’s possible I have some kind of a bubble fetish actually >.<’ Anyways it’s calming.

An illustration made portrait of a Shubunkin Goldfish. They slightly resemble a Koi Fish with the placement and coloring of their natural pattern. This particular goldfish is called: Yugameru, Yuga for short. A fish with a rare personality this fish actually likes to be hand fed and petted. She can be found in the aquarium of Dina Migliaccio of Squishy Products: http://www.facebook.com/SquishyProducts she asked me to draw a portrait of her fish that she could frame :)
So I have some good news! As many know I have/ had been looking to go back to school since I graduated back in 2009. I want to go back to school to further my eduction, but I also need to go back to put my student loans into deferment because right now I just can’t afford to pay them. But, outside of that I want to go back to school for something I’m actually interested in. Well, I just got accepted into Argosy University an online distance learning school that will provide me with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. My major will be Forensic Psychology. I know it sounds like it’s far of the mark of art. But, it’s actually not. It will provide me with a strong psychology background and a back ground with the justice system. And than I’ll be able to go back for my Masters Degree in Art Therapy, then for my PHD. Art Therapy has been something I’ve been looking into since before I graduated from SVA, but it’s a very hard program to get accepted into. You have to have a strong art background as well as psychology and be working in the field to even be looked at for a good art therapy program. But, not I actually have a shot at getting into it in the future! Plus my loans will get deferred and I can get a good paying job as well as fund my freelance business! Classes will start the beginning of May so I need to come up with $600.00 to take my first course >.<’

My newest illustration! It’s a drawing I did more for self satisfaction than for anything else. I wanted to prove to myself that I could draw an octopus! For quite some time now I had been having trouble drawing an octopus’s tentacles because of the suction cups. For some reason I just couldn’t get it right. Then finally after many months of searching for an octopus toy to use as a model one showed up and it gave me the reference I needed to help work out my idea in my sketch book. After I transferred the image and a week and a half later, this is what I came up with. Does anyone notice what’s in the background?

So I’ve got a new plan for how to get everything up an running in my life. A plan that I actually like! 2 weeks from today I leave for a permanent move to Huntsville, Alabama. I’m nervous because of how new everything is going to be and being around new people, but by going down there I can start a new life for myself… a life that will hopefully be easier. I’m tired of struggling for everything and fighting to get everything done. I want to have a good, stress free life…. and I hope that by doing all of this I can accomplish that!
Step 1: I need to get a job. (Save)
Step 2: Buy a car.
Step 3: Sign up for Floristry Class.
Step 4: Take First Aid Certification Class.
Step 5: Take Prerequisites for Radiology Course. (Math and Anatomy, 2 semesters each)
Step 6: Sign up for Radiology Certification Course at Huntsville Hospital.
Step 7: Get a job as a Florist.
Step 8: Get Married:
Step 9: Get an Apartment.
Step 10: Have a fully functioning Freelance Illustration Business.
Sounds, easy when I type it out like that. Lets hope that it is and I can actually accomplish my goals!

My Deviant Art Group, is getting off to a decent start. I’ve got 17 members. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s something after 2 1/2 months of being in existence. I’m figuring out how everything works and the best ways to submit artists work and get artists interested in the group. I don’t want to run any contests yet, not until I have at least 50 members, if not more. I think I’d prefer 100 members so at least I’d have a good percentage of people who’d be willing to participate.
The group itself is a dedication to anything that causes some sort of harm, whether is mental distress, nature related disaster, human made machines gone awry…. human destruction, spacial cataclysms… and of course aliens! A lot more people make art about these things than we realize, and this group is a place to see it all come together. I always wanted to find a way to help promote artists and feature work. So if I can get things group up and running I think it could be a big hit!

*sigh* somewhere along the lines of packing and cleaning to move I caught Bronchitis. My chest hurts, my body aches…. uh… I haven’t had this since I was a kid and I don’t even remember what it felt like… but at just the beginning stages I’m all ready miserable. What’s worse is the body aches are going all down into every joint on my right arm… making it hard to hold a pencil and draw! Please sickness go away soon!

This piece I drew for my friend Kimberly Kuba. It’s a dedication to her love of bubbles. I first met her when I was critiquing her bubble world series and we got to talking and became friends. You can check out her work here at this website: http://madameksquare.deviantart.com/ I’m going to be sending her the original piece framed in the mail soon. Prints are available of it though! As usual click the image and you’ll be redirected to it’s print page in my print shop >.<’
The idea behind this piece is that the bubbles are being forced out and up from a volcanic fissure on the ocean floor. The bright colors are a representation of the chemical reaction taking place between the magma and the salt water.
